Dan is an experienced writer, editor, marketer, public relations professional, project manager, and website strategist with nearly 20 years experience in industries ranging from technology, professional services, pet products, consumer products, economic development, finance, legal, restaurant and hospitality, and Internet development.
Dan cut his teeth on public relations while researching and developing content for Ralston Purina’s many corporate communications magazines and newsletters in the early 1990s. Today, he specializes in helping organizations “tell their stories” and think strategically around how they position their brands, products and services with existing and new target audiences. Dan also advises small to large organizations and business and non-profit leaders on how to prepare for and respond to media inquiries during times of both boom and crisis.
Prior to entering the public relations and marketing fields, Dan edited two internationally circulated art-instruction magazines and worked as a newspaper and magazine reporter. Dan graduated from The University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. He is a member of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Film Commission Board, serves on the Advisory Committee of the Professional Leadership Network, co-chairs the Accelerator program for the Cincinnati chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization, co-founded the Institute for Social Media at Cincinnati State, served on the Marketing Committee for the Association for Corporate Growth, served on the advisory board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and was named a Gentleman of Style and Substance by Cincinnati Magazine and the Cincinnati Parks Board.
A Cincinnati native, Nancy is a solutions-driven communications professional with extensive experience developing, managing and cultivating ideas, stories and marketing initiatives. She has served in lead marketing and communications roles for over a decade and is excited to transition from the client side to the agency side.
Prior to joining O’Keeffe, Nancy worked in the hospitality, entertainment and nonprofit industries. She has expertise in public relations, integrated marketing, content strategy, social media and promotional event planning. Known for being an energetic and resourceful leader, she enjoys collaborating with others to develop new and creative ways to tell a story that will achieve the desired result.
Nancy is a self-proclaimed theatre geek and huge fan of Cincinnati. When not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, dining out, volunteering, attending theatre and sporting events or hanging out in a local park with Madaket, her new 5-year-old Lab/mix rescue.
Kim Sheridan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications at the University of Cincinnati. She began her career working in marketing and promotion at the Beverly Hills-based Talent Music Management group, The Firm; while Kim was working at the agency in 2002, it purchased Michael Ovitz’s Artist Management Group (AMG) for a reported $12.7 million. Clients included Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Robert De Niro, Kelly Clarkson, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Dixie Chicks, Jennifer Lopez, among others. In addition to the individual successes of their clients, the company was noted for its prescience in melding celebrities with consumer brands and for its role as an architect of the $2.6 billion acquisition of Warner Music by a private equity consortium.
Following her professional experience in Los Angeles, Kim accepted a position with local multi-million dollar corporation, Pure Romance, Inc., as the CEO’s Publicist and corporate PR Director. Over the period of six years, she revamped the Promotions Department, and overhauled corporate communications, including website, catalog content, newsletters and more. She also gained valuable experience as the CEO’s right-hand “woman,” prepping the senior level staff for media interviews, collaborating on blogging and social media, and managing crisis communication when necessary.
Kim began consulting for O’Keeffe PR Agency in 2011, with a focus in public relations and copywriting. She has successfully managed multiple accounts, and has a keen understanding of PR particularly within retail, hospitality, economic development, corporate and startup categories.
In her spare time, she volunteers on the communications board for ProKids; she also enjoys playing the guitar, bike-riding, gardening, knitting, and spending time with family, friends and her Shih Tzu-Bischon Frise mix, Bodhi.
Cincinnati native Annie Beard, graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, where she also played Varsity soccer for the Bobcats. Prior to joining O’Keeffe, Annie interned at the Tell Your Story agency in Chicago and gyro in Cincinnati where she honed her skills in media relations and strategic communication.
As an E.W. Scripps School graduate, Annie knows the importance of well-written content in a constantly-changing online world. She is passionate about developing strategic PR and social media content with a keen focus on upcoming trends in the industry.
In addition to being a PR pro, she is a self-proclaimed Cincinnati sports junkie and local coffee shop frequenter. She is also on the Girls on the Run Cincinnati Marketing Committee, serving her passion of helping young girls achieve their full potential.
Dale Justice is a veteran of the Greater Cincinnati advertising and marketing communication industry. Dale began his career as a Graphic Designer, but quickly found his way into marketing. Dale founded and served as managing partner of the regional firm, Justice & Young Marketing & Public Relations. J&Y served some of the Greater Cincinnati area’s most iconic companies, including Graeter’s, Gold Star Chili, White Castle, Cincinnati Milacron, Meridian Bioscience, McSwain Carpet and Flooring, Northside Bank and Trust, Cohesion Business Technologies, and countless more.
After 26 years, Dale sold his business and joined the O’Keeffe team. He brings vast experience with all forms of business-to-business marketing, branding and creative communications, traditional and digital. He creates campaigns designed to achieve measurable growth, and has direct experience with Manufacturing, Home Building and Construction Products and Services, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Banking & Financial, Insurance, Professional Services and Non-Profit.
Dale earned the title of 2002 Man of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2002, serving on the Board of Trustees for six years. Dale earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati prestigious College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP). Dale and his wife live in suburban Cincinnati, spending as much time as possible with their three grandsons.
